New EP, Live Shows and Who Knows Vol. 1

Salut Les Amis! Lately, I’ve been thinking about the feeling of release—not just in the musical sense, but also in the emotional one. There’s something about finishing a body of work that leaves you a little lighter, a little clearer, and a whole lot more grateful. That’s been the mood around here: heart full, calendar packed, and headphones blasting final mixes. The new EP is ready to meet the world, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with you.

Here’s the latest from my corner of the creative chaos:

1. New EP – Who Knows: Volume 1 – Out June 13

It’s official! Who Knows: Volume 1 is releasing everywhere on June 13. This one means a lot—it’s the beginning of something bigger, a snapshot of this wild, strange, beautiful moment in time. You’ll be able to stream it across all platforms, and if you’re a newsletter subscriber (that’s you!), you’re getting early access…

2. Early Access via Bandcamp – June 7

As a heartfelt thank you for supporting me and this journey, I’m giving you early access to the full EP via Bandcamp. Keep an eye on your inbox on June 7—I’ll send you the link so you can dive into Who Knows: Vol 1 before the rest of the world hears it. I hope these songs resonate, surprise, and move you.

3. Live Playthrough Video – The Futon Sessions

A full live playthrough of the new EP—filmed at The Futon Sessions—is dropping this week. It’s raw, real, and full of those little moments you can’t capture in a studio take. I had a blast performing these tracks, and I can’t wait for you to see how it all translates live. Videos will be out on Instagram and YouTube. Links to follow.

4. Taylor Kelly Live – June 7 at Northern Liberties Music Festival

Big milestone alert: my first professional gig is happening this Saturday, June 7, as part of Taylor Kelly’s band at the Northern Liberties Music Festival. We’ve been putting in serious work prepping the set, and it’s sounding 🔥. Come through if you’re in Philly!

5. Updated Practice Sessions Playlist

My YouTube Practice Sessions Playlist just got a refresh with more behind-the-scenes playing and process. Whether you’re a fellow musician or just curious how the sausage gets made, there’s some cool stuff in there to check out.

6. Practice Breakdown Video Coming Soon

I’m editing a new video that dives deep into how I prepare for gigs, learn new material, and balance session work with personal practice. It’s kind of a nerdy deep dive, but hey—we love a good systems breakdown, right?

7. Seattle Recap

I just got back from an incredible trip to Seattle—breathtaking views, the most delicious food (I’m still dreaming about those coffees, Piroshkys and French Desserts), and reconnecting with chosen family. Memorial Day was full of warmth and memories. Highly recommend the Pacific Northwest recharge.

8. Reading List

Been flipping between:

  • The Book of Life – J. Krishnamurti

  • The Indian Problem 1833–1935

  • Outliers – Malcolm Gladwell

9. Merch News

Merch will be available at the June 28 Philly show! We’re also setting up an online store via Bandcamp, so even if you can’t make it in person, you can still grab something and rep the project.

Thanks, as always, for walking alongside me. These next few weeks feel like a crescendo, and I’m just so stoked to be making music and sharing it with you all.

With love, fuzz pedals, and the occasional existential jazz chord,
Ameya Deshpande 🎸✨
